The South Campus seeks the qualification of people and institutions, through training initiatives, with an emphasis on local and regional administration, but also on public sector, private sector and other entities, using the advanced knowledge residing in the partner universities or in other partner entities, and based on the good practices defined at international level. The consortium additionally promotes the development of innovative projects with impact, based on programs in relevant areas to the development of the South of the country.

Objectives: Facilitate and reduce bureaucracy in the relationship between the public administration and citizens and companies; Empower the HR installed in the region through the acquisition of relevant knowledge and skills; Support the digital transition in the South in cutting-edge areas (artificial intelligence and data science); Increase efficiency and outreach in public service delivery; Prepare projects for submission to funding by regional, national or international entities.

Delimitation

The programs and projects in question are selected according to three dimensions:
1) The most pressing needs in different regions;
2) The involvement of strategic local and regional partners;
3) The diversity of target populations, which will lead to distinct and customized training models.
